I was hoping to take my girlfriend for our anniversary, on a hot air balloon and wanted to make sure it was memorable, but let's admit it's a bit pricey especially for a 2 person exclusive ride. So I was hoping to see if anyone may have any recommendations/suggestions(companies in mind) for a 2-person exclusive hot air balloon ride before June 23rd not more than 2 hours ride from NYC (Unless it's really worth it). Thanks.

I'm travelling to Rome in a month or so and heard about this hot air balloon ride near the Borghese Gallery. I was just wondering if anyone had ANY information on this and if it's still operating. Also, if anyone has any information about hot air balloon rides in/around Rome. Thanks so much!

I saw the TV images of the hot air balloon tragedy which happened in Canada last Friday. A mother and her baby perished in the flames as the balloon (a ball of fire) fell to the ground. I watched for a brief moment and then changed the channel.
In my opinion, watching this kind of image does not enrichen me (or anyone else) in any way !
I can't help but ask myself :
Do these kind of images truly increase TV audiences and magazine sales (even today )?
Do you still watch violent images on the news channels or buy magazines with gruesome photos...
Or, have you seen enough ?
